OVERVIEW: The Model BIFC iron basket strainer can be used in applications for water, oil or gas (liquids) where protection from foreign matter in a pipeline is required.
It is constructed from cast iron castings that have drilled flanges that are in accordance with ASME B16.5. Perforated 304 stainless steel screens are welded along the seam for maximum strength. If the media is not specified, screens for water will be supplied. Lead free.
Cleaning of the strainer is accomplished by removing the cover and pulling out the basket. All sizes of the BIFC have a quick opening clamped cover for ease in basket removal. An o-ring that is compressed between the body and cover for a positive shut off and to maximize durability.
